Hello! I am new to this and have never posted anything about my anxiety and what I’m struggling with everyday. I have a very supportive husband and I’m motivated and educated enough to do everything in my power to help myself deal with this struggle. But everyday is a state of panic! My hands are shaking as I write this, feeling another panic attack in the near future. I’ve meditated, tried yoga, breathing and medication. But I still struggle. Is there anyone else out there than can relate to me and make me feel a little normal?
Hello, first of all sorry for the delay in responding. If the anxiety is impairing you the way you describe, then proper treatment with a psychiatrist is needed. There are many anti-anxiety meds that you could try (but only prescribed by a psychiatrist). In addition, cognitive behavior therapy is a useful form of talk-therapy that will help you analyze the anxiety provoking thoughts, and help you replace these with balanced thoughts. One more recommendation is to join a support group for people with anxiety. You may learn that you and they are all “normal”, but you just need to learn how to manage catastrophic thinking.
