Anxiety and depression are treatable. If you’ve suffered for 7 years then it’s likely that you’ve developed negative thinking patterns which are difficult to change. The brain becomes conditioned to think in self-defeating ways, resulting in inadequacy and worthlessness. Can you reach out to a friend or family member for help? Medication and talk-therapy can also help. At the very least, please get a book called “Mind Over Mood”, by Paedesky. It’s a self -help manual with good cognitive exercises that you can do yourself. Tell yourself that you can take control of your mental and emotional health – but you need to actually do something to help yourself. This is the only way your life will improve.
